The parasite comes to life after the polar ice caps melt making it like a more action-packed “Inconvenient Truth.” Actually, that’s not very accurate because an Ingmar Bergman film could be considered more action packed than “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Besides, was “The Thaw” the most clever title they could have pulled out of their title hat? “The Thaw” sounds like Mr. Freeze from “Batman and Robin” wrote the movie.
