The Movie Blog reported his next film might be a sequel to one of his films that sort of doesn’t suck.

Fans, or what few of them he has left, have been bugging him about doing an “Unbreakable” sequel, the superhuman strength movie starring Bruce Willis.

Actually the question isn’t “if” he will make an “Unbreakable” sequel. It’s “should” he make an “Unbreakable” sequel when the question should be “Should he make another film?”

It’s a wonder he didn’t get the Best Actor Oscar.

But MTV’s Movie Blog has some news of other people who were considered for that famous movie role.

A former stunt coordinator for the second film revealed that the studio wanted Lance Henriksen to play the Terminator role, which would be shocking if I had a joke about Lance Henriksen.

The studio also wanted rocker Billy Idol to play the T-1000 instead of Robert Patrick. No disrespect to Patrick who kicked ass as the T-1000, but Idol would have been way cooler. He could have totally taken down the Terminator by smashing an empty whiskey bottle on his head and then trashing his hotel room and sticking him with the bill.

That’s so crazy that it just might work.

Moviesonline.ca reports that a “Duke Nukem” movie is officially in the works.

It’s being worked on by the same guy who directed the “Max Payne” movie, another video game remake. He’s become such an expert on directing video game movies that he also has plans to make “Pac-Man: The Movie,” “Tetris: The Movie” and “Pong: The Movie” starring Sam Elliott as the Left Paddle.

Of course, Duke Nukem is famous for making it big with one video and promising a sequel that has taken more than 10 years in development just to make two trailers. Let’s hope this film suffers the same fate.

The game borrows a lot of lines and style from kick-ass action movies, so remaking a game that’s remaking a bunch of other movies could causes audiences’ heads to explode. I’m just kidding. This film won’t have an audience.

Vin Diesel is in talks to return to the third installment, according to Variety.

The star and the studios are currently in talks to star in the movie. We can assume that they are discussing the terms of Diesel’s contract, his salary, the size of his trailer and the brand of chocolate covered goat milk that will be in his trailer. The script will work itself out.

Of course, Diesel didn’t appear in the second film because his price was so high that the studio wouldn’t have made enough money, enough meaning “just enough to buy a gold plated Mercedes that doesn’t have air conditioning powered by two third-world slave childs who live under the hood.”

He’s also returning to the fourth “Fast & Furious” film after bowing out of the last two films. Why the sudden change of mind? Maybe his money belt is starting to feel a little loose. I don’t mean he keeps his money in a special belt. I mean that he literally has a belt made out of money.

We love disagreeing with other blogs and movie forums, especially when they couldn’t be more wrong than a show that features Bill Hicks opening for Raffi.

The Movie Blog reports on a quote from comic book artist Frank Miller about his hope and dream that one day, Sylvester Stallone will get to play “The Dark Knight.”

Now no disrespect to Mr. Miller and his genius work and great depth of vision, creativity and imagination, but when you deal in fantasy as much as him, some of it is bound to seep into your psyche. Case in point.

The blog, reporting on a story from Cinematical thinks it would be a good idea to cast Stallone in the role because he would embody the real Batman at age 55. It’s the cinematic opposite of reanimating the corpse of Sir Lawrence Olivier and casting him in the titular role of “Deuce Bigalow: Australian Gigilo.”

Sure he might look the part, but his acting just wouldn’t be up to snuff for the caliber of film that Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” movie series has become. Casting Sly in the lead role would just suck all the credibility and juice out of it that he worked so hard to create before he hit the screen. If he’s good in the film, the chances of that are minimal at best given the number of chances he’s already had in other roles later in his career. Plus I never want to go through the kind of pain and disappointment that such hype would bring. That’s right, “Stop or My Mom Will Shoot,” I’m talking about you.

I know that as a writer and reporter, I’m supposed to be objective and fair to all sides and willing to accept certain facts I may not personally agree with in order to preserve the overall story. But this news makes wish I could find the people responsible for this #*$&ing travesty and rips their goddamn *##&s off and stuff them right up their #($*$ing #*$.

The MTV Movies Blog has confirmed that there will be a “Ghostbusters 3,” but most likely without the original cast.

This cheeses my cracker for three reasons. One, it’s an iconic movie that every child of the 80’s either loved and loved so much they would have killed a stranger to find out what happens to the Ghostbusters after the second sequel.

Second, it was written and created by some of the funniest and most creative people on the planet. Any attempt for anyone else to make it other than its creators, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, who couldn’t get a movie deal for a third film because of the ridiculously high salaries they’d deserve for making it. It’s like letting Picasso repaint the Sistene Chapel. There’s a chance it might look good, but you just know it’s going to look #*$&ed up.

Lastly, Aykroyd and Ramis have found a way to do the third movie they wanted, even if God can’t pay them: a kick-ass video game featuring all the original actors from the first two movies. Now it looks like because of this film and some other stupid marketing reasons, that game is on hold. Thanks again Hollywood for being the manufacturer of dreams and then taking them from us. You’re the alcoholic father I never had.

No not every other film in development other than the sequel to “Ghost Rider 2.” I’m talking about “Ghost Rider 2.”

That large grinding engine noise you keep isn’t the revving of Ghost Rider’s modified Boss Hoss 3 LRC. It’s the collective grinding of America’s teeth. It’s a common mistake.

Surprisingly, Cage doesn’t seem to know the film is going ahead at full speed and eventually head-on into a brick wall. See, Nicky my boy, those big stacks of paper they throw on your doorstep while your sleeping in a bed that’s stuffed with cash (not under the mattress, the bed is literally stuffed and stitched out of cash), those are called scripts. Try reading one sometime.

He said the only development he had heard was that the next film would take place in Europe and the character (this is so true) will “work with the Catholic Church.” So keep an eye out for “Ghost Rider 2: Fire Down Below,” coming soon to a theater near you.

Voice actor Don LaFontaine died today at this week at the age of 68, according to The Internet Movie Database.

The name might not sound familiar, but the voice is unmistakable. Listen to this…

That’s right. It’s the trailer voice over guy who made “Over the Top” look watchable.

He’s done over 5,000 voice overs for movie trailers in his career with his signature voice, a dark, crisp, raspy voice that made dumb movies seem fun and turned the multiplex into a thing of hope, only to have that hope die a slow horrible death once the actual films hit the theaters.

He is probably one of a few responsible for the traditional movie trailer as we know it today. He pretty much invented the job of “movie trailer voice over” guy. He had a style for every kind of movie. Horror movie trailers were done in a quiet, slow voice that created a sense of eeriness before the big jump. Action movie trailers had a hard, forceful tone where every syllable is punctuated for maximum effect. He created the phrase “In a world…” for God’s sake. This ranks right up there with the guy who invented fake popcorn butter and the guy who realized movie theaters could make even more money if they never cleaned the bathrooms.

So instead of focusing on the career that made him famous or posting a bunch of trailers that just focus on his career, I’ve got something with a little more polish and therefore, a lot more shine. As you’ll see in this profile video I found on YouTube, his career in movies goes way beyond doing trailer voice-overs. But more importantly, he just seems like a nice down-to-Earth guy who appreciates what he has and can do and loves sharing it with as many people as possible. In other words, he’s not a Hollywood prick. We just let the Pink Panther diamond slip through our fingers once again, folks.

Mathieu Kassovitz, director of the new Vin Diesel vehicle “Babylon A.D.,” made fun of his own film, according to Variety.
He called his own film “pure violence and stupidity” in an interview with AMCtv.com. Geez, Mathieu, don’t hold back. Let us know what you really think.

He also called his film “a bad episode of ‘24.’” Whether or not it feels like you’re sitting in a theater for 24 hours, he didn’t say.

People close to the film said this was Kassovitz simply being Kassovitz. He delayed production, missed press obligations and fired his representatives. In other words, he’s everyone who ever lived in Hollywood.

That means the rumors about the third film are going to never stop flying until it hits the screen. We wish this one would have crash landed.

Get the Big Picture reports that Cher is being consider to play Catwoman in the next Batman movie.

That’s right Cher, the only woman in history who’s had enough plastic surgery that could transform her into a cat. I guess it makes sense since they would save a lot of money on makeup.

Director Christopher Nolan reportedly wants Cher to don the cat suit for the next film because he wants to the Batman villainness as “a vamp in her twilight years.” I’m wondering if they actually meant to say “tramp” instead of “vamp.”

The blog also said the source of the rumor said…

“The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.”

In other words, the new Catwoman will be totally unappealing and completely unattractive.
