‘Fantastic 4′ Won’t Make It to Three

The “Fantastic 4″ movie franchise has been anything but. The first one was OK. The second one sucked out loud. The third one probably would have made my head cave in.

Thankfully that won’t happen. According to MTV, there are no plans to make a third installment to the franchise.

Actor Chris Evans, who played the Human Torch, delivered the third film’s obituary to the online blog. No word yet on where flowers should be sent to the film’s family.

Apparently co-stars Jessica Alba and Michael Chiklis really wanted to do a third film by offering their own story lines, but Evans doesn’t think it will happen since he hasn’t heard anything about it since the second film opened. We’re surprised the studio is still returning his phone calls after that stinker.

Evans said even though he’d like to do another one as well, he’s ready to walk away from the franchise. We feel the same way, although we’d recommend running instead of walking.
