Finally…Some Good News About a Bad Movie
In the few months I’ve been doing this blog, I’m happy to report that FINALLY I have some good news to report for the first time in our short history. Uwe Boll is retiring in flames kind of good. The guy who make the “Movie” parody movies are now managing a 7-11 kind of good.
There will not be a “Friends” movie, according to The Movie Blog.
Here’s how it happened, the “Sex and the City” movie started sparking rumors that a “Friends” movie would get the same treatment, something akin to electroshock therapy treatment with a thorazine chaser.
Warner Bros. issued a statement that a “Friends” movie would not happen disappointing millions of unfunny female college freshmen and delighting the rest of the universe.
So what caused the studio to give the red light to this future stinkburger? I have a theory, the “Sex and the City” movie sucked and anything that builds upon something with so much hype would be guaranteed to suck. So thank you Warner Bros. for putting a bullet in the brain of this future brain-drainer to be. If it will make you feel any better, I’ll send you a check for the bullet.
