Maybe Al Gore Was Right AND Dull…

There must be waves of heat stroke criss crossing the country because with a few exceptions, a lot of bad movies have been scoring the number one box office spot.

The superhero spoof “Hancock” earned the top at the box office during the coveted Fourth of July weekend, according to IMDB.com.

Rotten Tomatoes gave the summer blockbuster a 37 percent “rotten” rating as of Sunday. Here’s what some of the cynics, er, critics had to say about it. I know, it’s like the pot calling the kettle a “pot.”

Sean Burns of Philadelphia Weekly gave the film somewhat of a positive review and said it was…

devoting an enjoyable first hour to our dirtbag crusader’s unlikable antiheroics, before jumping to the conclusion without benefit of a second act.

He failed to notice that the closing credits were actually what the screenwriters considered as the second act.

Nick Nunziata of CHUD called it simply…

a mess that isn’t even fun to enjoy for its little pleasures.

That’s not true. For instance, I had a lot of fun leaving the theater when the film ended.

The harshest review of the bunch goes to Todd McCarthy of Variety who called it a…

misguided attempt to wring a novel twist on the superhero genre has a certain whiff of The Last Action Hero about it.

Whoa, that’s harsh. That “whiff” would be puke covered in s*$&.

‘Wish I read the reviews before hand ;(

Went to watch this mother of all dumbs’ on my brithday
along with my Son. Was embarrased, felt like a fool, having
to listen to the casual foul language usage ;(

Wasted $14.00. I could have sent the money to a Church
    or UnitedWay.

Easily the most idiotic movie of recent times :((((
