There’s Egg on My Face and Hope in My Heart

Apparently early in our infancy, we’ve been duped as part an elaborate April Fools’ prank…or we were the ones that pulled the April Fools’ prank ourselves. Yeah, yeah, that’s the ticket.

Yesterday we reported that RopeofSilicon.com had an exclusive that Carmen Electra and Kevin Sorbo were close to signing a deal of starring in another unfunny parody movie franchise with “Art House Movie.”

Apparently it was all just a hoax, a ruse, a sham, a joke, a prank, a shine, a skylark, a hot one, a gotcha, a rollick, a rib, a bigger joke than the last three “Scary Movies.”

It all seemed pretty obvious. The concept was ludicrous, even for these people. There were no confirmations from either actors. And there was a big disclaimer at the bottom that read, “This article and its contents are fictitious. Any resemblance to persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental or is intended purely as a satire, parody or spoof.” I knew there’s a reason why I went to journalism school.

We weren’t the only people who fell for it. Some high profile blogs like The Movie Blog didn’t catch on or maybe they did and are just part of the joke. If they say they’re in on it, just remember it’s also opposite day.
