Trouble in Babylon
It’s pretty bad when a movie gets a bad review days before it is scheduled to open…from the film’s director.
Mathieu Kassovitz, director of the new Vin Diesel vehicle “Babylon A.D.,” made fun of his own film, according to Variety.
He called his own film “pure violence and stupidity” in an interview with AMCtv.com. Geez, Mathieu, don’t hold back. Let us know what you really think.
He also called his film “a bad episode of ‘24.’” Whether or not it feels like you’re sitting in a theater for 24 hours, he didn’t say.
People close to the film said this was Kassovitz simply being Kassovitz. He delayed production, missed press obligations and fired his representatives. In other words, he’s everyone who ever lived in Hollywood.
