Wachowski Brothers to Hack, Slash Hack-n-Slash Ninja Films
Not content with completely destroying the Chinese culture with the kung-fu sci-fi “Matrix” trilogy and the non-anime remake of “Speed Racer,” the Wachowski Brothers are tackling the ninja movie.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Brothers have already started casting for their next film called “Ninja Assassin.”
They have already cast Rick Yune as the antagonist for the film. Yune has appeared in several films including as the diamond-studded Zao in “Die Another Day” and Johnny Tran in “The Fast the Furious.” He’s also scheduled to appear in the sequel to the Uwe Boll video game schlock flick “Alone in the Dark.” If these are the movies he accepted, the ones he turned down must have been written in crayon.
The film is about an orphan raising on a “ninja farm” who turns his back on his upbringing and rejoins the real world until Yune forces him back into it. I imagine it’s basically Kung-Fu meets “Green Acres.”
By the way, why are the Wachowski Brothers still calling themselves the “Brothers”? Didn’t one of them get a sex change operation? They should be called the Wachowski “Whatevers.”
